Casey Brooks, Heroine Extraordinaire

Casey Brooks is the heroine in my WIP, Forgotten. The fun thing about Casey is she thinks she's no fun. Okay, so in the blurb I mention that she has phobias and trust issues. She's also sarcastic and, because of her trust issues, pretty much a loner. She's as prickly as they come. But she's also courageous and loyal. Now all she has to do is realize how fantabulous she really is.

Of course, I'm not going to make that an easy little road for her to get down. Nope, the road to realizing she is worthy of love is going to be a LONG, TREACHEROUS journey.

So let's talk about her trust issues.  Okay. They all started with her mom...

Not really. This story is because of her best friend.

When she was nine years old, her bff Julia died.  Casey has dreams, dreams of Julia trying to talk to her, dreams of her dying. She tries to help, to save her, but she can't. She's trapped in a small, dark place.  

Feel a phobia coming on? Hint. Hint. Hint.

Anyway, since then, she's had a difficult time trusting...is it because she saw someone she trusted steal her mom away? Only Casey knows and her sub-conscience isn't ready to tell...
